Survey and Delivery

Had the pleasure of first surveying and then delivering a 2018 48' Sabre Express. Vessel is equipped with twin Volvo D8 IPS 700's.

Delivery was from St. Petersburg, FL to Charleston, SC. My first estimate was four days. Lake Okeechobee levels were low, so with pods, I decided to do the outside route. No extra time added, just extra miles. Owner approved my route. A experienced good friend joined me for the delivery.

A mix of offshore and ICW had us in Charleston 4 days later. Old cruising grounds for me, so it was a pleasure to run through them again.

The owner and his crew met us so they could continue up to Massachusetts.

Vessel had a Seakeeper and Interceptor trim tabs so the ride was always comfortable. Can't beat driving in air conditioning comfort as well.

As I am writing this post, the owner has made it to Massachusetts. I wish him well with his new boat.
